FCC Investigates DTV Installation Contractors
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is investigating three contractors who were paid to install converter boxes and help consumers out with the digital transition.
It was reported today that the contracts were terminated over, “significant performance issues”.
Details are limited though the FCC has stated that the contracts were worth a total of $1.4 million. WSJ reports,
Earlier this month, Mr. Barton asked the agency to respond to allegations that “some walk-in centers that received grant money don’t even exist” and what sort of antifraud measures the agency put into place to track the stimulus funds.
