YouTube goes 1080p today


Users with higher quality video cameras will now be able to upload and share their 1080p format videos to YouTube starting today.

The bump in quality from 720p to 1080p will also include content from YouTube’s partners as well.

Here’s a statement from Google owned, YouTube’s website,

As resolution of consumer cameras increases, we want to make sure YouTube is the best home on the web to showcase your content. For viewers with big monitors and a fast computer, try switching to 1080p to get the most out of the fullscreen experience.
