Season 4 of the highly popular (and pirated) HBO series, ‘Game of Thrones’ debuted on April 6th. Enough viewership to shutdown HBO Go for a second time this season, the fourth season of the series has not disappointed fans! A prudent warning to those who have not seen episode 2, by reading the remainder of the Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 3 preview you will “ruin” episode 2!! (ie spoiler alert)! Episode 3 is set to air on Sunday, April 20th at 9pm EST on HBO. Be warned though, if you have the option to watch HBO through your cable or satellite television provide instead of HBO Go, you might want to go with that option to avoid any potential outages that have plagued the relatively new mobile service offered by the content provider for popular television shows.

How Did ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode 2 Change Things?

Less than two episodes from the game changing “Red Wedding” episode that saw a number of the major characters in the series killed off or murdered, fans finally saw the hated Joffrey murdered in what is being called the “Purple Wedding” due to the nature of his death. The end result, has been a wide ranging madness in King’s Landing after his death with just about every major player being a suspect in the boy-king’s death. No one is above suspicion, with lots of the characters already angling to turn the “unfortunate” event to their advantage throughout both the capitol and the surrounding area.

How was the Situation Left after Episode 2?

After Joffrey’s death, Tyrion has initially been labeled the murder, Margaery has lost out on yet another title, and Cersei “appears” to be pretty anguished at the events that occurred. Based on the official preview of episode 3, “Breaker of Chains,” we can expect that the next showing of ‘Game of Thrones’ on April 20th, 2014 will focus on trying to sort out both how Joffrey died as well as the various ramifications on both politics and day-to-day life throughout the kingdom.

’Game of Thrones’ Season 4, Episode 3 Preview

At the start of episode 3, Tyrion is in prison and is going on about him being framed for the murder to someone that he is speaking to off camera (note we do not know who he is talking to!). Margaery and Olenna Tyrell are continuing to hang out in the local area with the elder telling Margaery that her current circumstances have significantly improved. Then, just to keep things exciting, we get to see Daenarys head to Meereen who has both soldiers and catapults at her disposal. Without a doubt, we will get a full does of updates for all of our favorite characters during episode 3 that haven’t been fully covered this season…and who knows…maybe they won’t be around for episode 4!!! Episode 3 will air in the usual 9 PM EST timeslot on HBO this Sunday evening. If you haven’t had a chance to checkout episode 2, make sure you do so before the weekend sot that you can keep up with all of the action!
