Big Bang Theory, is this just another nerdy show?

I've caught a couple of episodes, one too many in my opinion, hoping that it would get better than for just a quick laugh. But all I see is another show about nerds and some blond making for some laughs on the show. Do you agree?

This show is the biggest cliche ever; 2 geeks and a beautiful girl living next door...

I caught one of the early episodes, probably the 3rd show after it's premier and thought it was ok. I had remembered seeing one of the geek's from The Big Bang Theory in a show while back....and figured out it was John Galecki from Rosanne (He played the boyfriend of Rosanne's younger daughter).

Still, I guess if you have to watch tv only at certain times, it's better than some of the ridiculous reality shows that have swamped the networks.

It is the kind of show you have to watch a couple of times before you get the humor. By the end of the first season I started really enjoying the show, but I can understand how it wouldn't be for everyone.

sad thing was i almost instantly recognized him the first time i saw the show. i grew up watching roseanne lol

So many themes have been brought up so many times that every theme seems like a cliche'. I like Big bang theory though. It's got some clean crisp humor. Good enough for a bunch of laughs.

I can see how this show's humor won't appeal to everyone. It's not in your face slap stick comedy, rather it's nerdy intelligent people's view of the world we live in. I personally think it extemely funny.

Hmm, I've never end heard of this show. What other shows does the humor in this one compare to? I may check out an episode or two to see how I like it.

The show is really funny. At first I thought ok, this isn't that original or funny, but if you watch a few episodes and get to know the characters, it'll crack you up. If you just want to laugh for 20 minutes, you should try it. It doesn't hurt to laugh, eh? :)

It's an old concept about the nerd mixed with the girl next door.
The nerd themselves face dilemmas that everyday people face, minus Sheldon.
That guy's character a egoist is classic.
