Fans of 'The Good Witch' movies are rejoicing at the announcement made today that not only is a seventh movie being filmed, but a regular TV series is coming to television in 2015.

Catherine Bell ('Jag') returns to the mystical character of Cassandra Nightingale, a character created by Rod Spence and partially based intriguingly on a fairly well-known apparition called The Grey Lady. This apparition was part of a 'Ghost Hunters' episode several years ago. You can read a bit more about the apparition and Spence at

The latest original movie is entitled 'The Good Witch's Wonder' and will air on the Hallmark Channel in October 25, 2014 at 9pm. Also returning are Chris Potter ('Kung Fu: the Legend Continues'), Matthew Knight, Catherine Disher, and Ashley Leggat. The casting for the series has not been confirmed as to whether or not the movie cast have agreed to appear in the weekly program.

The first original movie, 'The Good Witch' aired in 2008. It was followed a year later by 'The Good Witch's Garden' and in 2010 with 'The Good Witch's Gift.' In 2011, the plot continued with 'The Good Witch's Family' and then 'The Good Witch's Charm' in 2012. The sixth of the movies aired in 2013 and was called 'The Good Witch's Destiny.' Viewers have watched as the beautiful Cassie found true love with town sheriff, Jake Russell (Potter), and married him, becoming stepmother to two teenagers (played by Knight and Hannah Endicott-Douglas) and eventually having a baby with him. So far, all that has been revealed about 'The Good Witch's Wonder' is that it is "a magical film about love, trust and renewal."

Reaction thus far has been excitement with fans thrilled that the family-friendly franchise is moving forward. Stated one woman on Facebook, "Love all the "Good Witch Movies" and Catherine Bell. My granddaughter and I watch them all the time. Can't wait......."
