I was channel surfing and I saw a show on KOCE about setting up a DTV converter box, as well as other digital options.

They say if you write them a letter, in about 200 words, how you helped someone with the DTV transition, they'll send you a free light orange DTVAnswers water bottle or sun visor hat.

The address to send the letters to is:

NAB
c/o DTV Transition
1771 N St NW
Washington, DC 20036

Supplies are limited, so you know what to do.

Here's the show script: http://www.dtvanswers.com/educationalprogram/30minscript.pdf

In HTML format for those who don't want to load Acrobat all the time (myself included) : <SHOW OPEN>

I found an error in the closed captioning of this show: the closed captioning reads "$50 coupon" instead of the actual $40 coupon spoken. Was this the original coupon amount, or was that a typo?

Was definitely a typo. I've seen some pretty bad captions before on some shows with huge mistakes, and I've often wondered what the hiring standards are for the captioners. :pop2:

How cool is that, and we've got all the proof of our help here at the forum. :) hehe
Sometimes I wonder just how much we actually help when about 40% of the people don't return and respond to our answers.

This site is awesome. I, for one, have appreciated the comments and they have made me more knowledgeable in the process. I've been able to pass that on to my sister as well. It's like a chain, and remember, people are more vocal about complaints than they are about saying 'thanks'. What I've especially liked about this site are the quick responses to the questions. There really hasn't been lags, and that's cool. When you're waiting anxiously for an answer, it's nice to get it sooner rather than later. Y'all should pat yourselves on the back. You've probably have helped more folks than you know!
