DVR ISSUES ONLY RECORDING LOCAL BROADCAST

Help!! My DVR is not recording anything besides local channel programming I.e. abc nbc Fox. I’ve tried restarting, refreshing checking wires. I’ve called in twice they have no clue. This is a major problem. I’ve seen other posts in the past and they just said engineering issue. Anybody have any ideas how to fix? Thank you.
