Instead of trying to fix the byproduct of deindustrialization, why don't we fix the actual problem? The united states does not have a monopoly on industry and manufacturing anymore and we are competing on a geopolitical scale. we need tariffs to incentivize manufacturing here and to artificially compete against suppressed wages overseas. we also need to give subsidizes and tax exemptions companies that manufacture here to speed up the process and market deregulation to allow business's to operate cheaper and efficiently.
