How do I ensure all “New” programs are recorded?

For example, 3 episodes of Who Wants to be a Millionaire were recorded on 1/6 (as I have it set to record "All New Episodes") but they actually weren't due to the Capitol Insurrection coverage (i.e., the news coverage was recorded). These "new" episodes are now being broadcast by ABC over the next three weeks and, although each is marked as "New" in the guide, none are being recorded, supposedly because Xfinity will not record a show that was recently recorded (prevent being an unknown period of time) regardless of how the show is marked. Without anticipating that this is going to happen and recording each show individually, is there any way to override Xfinity's restrictions on re-recording a show and have the show automatically recorded as I originally intended?
