How I Met Your Mother finale.....

I've been hearing many mixed reviews on the finale. Did you watch? What did you think? Was a bit disappointed that the "Mother" dies and he ends up with Robin anyway, although there were times the "kids" referred to mom being gone, so it wasn't a huge surprise but for some reason I was still disappointed.

I read today that the show's co-creators were undecided on the ending until quite recently. They even had an alternate ending all edited together, which will be available on the final season DVD release... "How I Met Your Mother" to reveal alternate ending - CBS News

Yeah, apparently the backlash was so great against the current ending, the producers announced the "alternative" ending that will be available via DVD in the fall.
