How to link or refer to posts in a different forum?

If I want to start a thread in a forum and want to link the conversation to a thread posted in a different forum, how should I do that?

Its usually considered 'bad netiquitte' to share posts from forum to forum, but it really depends on the topic. You can always copy the URL from any page to share a link.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about sub-forums within the DTV forum, not going outside. There is a lot of cross over in topic relevance from one sub-forum to another, and having a button connecting those threads within the DTV forum would be handy.
