Problem with turning on Roku TV

I've just downloaded Roku app, but the problem is that I can't turn the Roku TV using this app. Downloaded it from here. Already tried re-installing the app to solve this problem but it didn't help. I am connected to the same network as my streaming device so I don't know the reason. Will appreciate any recommendations.

Check and see if the TV will turn on using other ways. Should be a power on button behind the bottom left side.

Does the app show local Roku devices found, when you start the app ?
