Saw Broncos Game On DirecTV Yesterday.

Well, a friend of my invited me over for lunch after church yesterday and we watched the Broncos game on DirecTV. Of course it was the local station. Since they don't have a HDTV they haven't upgraded to the HD service, but these are my observations.

First off, no subchannels!!! That kind of goes without saying, pay-TV doesn't carry subchannels. Second, was no choice in how you view the content. The FOX station that had Green Bay and the Lions was displayed 16:9, but CBS was still 4:3. Also, there seemed to be a lot more interference problems (macro blocking) than I have with my own personnal antenna. So, other than HGTV, what are they paying $100 per month for?
