Sound from PC to HDTV

I can connect my PC to my HDTV with a VGA cord but what do I do for sound?

If your TV does not have an audio input synchronized with VGA video input, you are stuck with computer speakers or port it to a surround sound system

It depends what ports both machines have usually you can use a 3.5 mm stereo audio cable for this problem.
