Subscriptions Run Amok! H E L P!!!

Hi Jay ---

Wanted to make sure you saw this so doing a new post. I am again being inundated with 'new message' things. I went to the subscription page and this time it does let me delete (it didn't before), but ... there are 545 Threads -- pages and pages worth. Is there anything you can do to fix this? It'll take forever to unsubscribe to all of these.

I hope I'm explaining this good, but I'll do my best. In the forum section, click on forum actions just below the tabs for Home, Forum, Blogs, & What's New?, but above all the forum threads.

After clicking on Forum Actions, click on General Settings.

Then look for Default Thread Subscription Mode.

Then choose from there how you want your subscriptions. If you don't want any updates on every single thread, then choose Do Not Subscribe.

Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page & click Save Changes. If you don't click Save Changes, the change won't save.

Thanks for the response Dave (and a very informative one at that!). I had forgotten to come back here and post an update. Anyway, I'm also able to remove subscriptions for each member if needed, just send me a PM or post in the Forum Help Zone.

And to clarify -- I know how to remove subscriptions. This was more of a technical issue that popped up after Jay revamped the site. I had over 1000 subscriptions at one point and the last time I tried to get rid of them, I got invalid links. So, there was a problem and Jay the Superman fixed it for me. As I told him, I am now a happy camper again. :}
