Hi

I purchased a Toshiba DVR620 Tunerless DVD/VCR. In order to use PIP on my Visio TV I am running the Charter Cable signal trough a Sony VCR/DVD combo player. Everything works well but the picture I get when I record an analog cable program is very bad. Is there anything I can do to improve the picture? Is it worth it to find a VCR with s-video instead of the rca cables I am now using?

thanks

While s-video does offer a better picture, I don't think it'll be a dramatic improvement. Is it possible the RCA cables you're using now are damaged? Do you have any other RCA cables to swap out and try?

Tried That

I have used several different sets of cables. One thing I do notice is that the analog channels are not very clear even when coming straight from the cable box. When I used PIP and views both pictures at about half size the clarity is pretty decent. Your answer is helpful, I think I'm just going to live with this since I generally am just taping late night sports to watch the following morning.

thanks
