The long awaited VMS1100 will be rolling out April 1st. And no, that isn't an April fools joke. The VMS1100 media server was sent to 100 select Verizon FiOS customers this week, and the full roll out will start at the end of this month. The VMS1100 offers a 6 tuner DVR and integrated media/internet streamer on up to 5 televisions. FiOS customers, do you plan on upgrading?

You make been mentioning this for a while. I don't DVR too much as I have limited channels via Fios. I don't store much. I can access my music and other files via Xbox...but even with that feature I don't use it all that much. Can you sell me on this upgrade?

Which package do you have? As you might have guessed, I'm sort of an insider (fringe). But, I can't have FiOS since I don't live in their service area. It really comes down to being able to access your recorded programs (6 recorded at once) on multiple televisions, as well as internet content, within the same platform.

I have whatever the most basic package is...I had to really hunt to find it on the Fios website. At the time it was not on the main package listings. I can't remember but I think the package listed locals and PBS but it has a lot more...MeTV, Retro, Cozi and more.

Hey guys - I stumbled across your forum as I am trying to figure out what is wrong (or I am doing wrong) with the VMS1100/IPC1100 combo that Verizon just set up at my new house. I love having the newest stuff...but I was not expecting it and it does not seem to do one big core thing my family depends on: pause/rewind live TV. This appears to be a drawback when using these remote clients. The technician that installed the system was great...but this surprised him and when he called in to ask about it...he was told it had something to do with my bundle package? When I call to talk to Verizon it takes 30 minutes to explain that I have a new system they just rolled out...and they can't figure it out. Billing sends me to the Techs and the guy last night could only ask me to re-boot. Any ideas? -Robb
