My 40" Sony came with an anchor point and instructions, but nothing else.

If your unit is wall mounted the tv shouldnt need a tether as there should be a locking bar integrated into the wallmount bracket.

If the TV is to be on an entertainment unit or stand they may have a hole through the base for a screw... or a small plastic tether to be attached to the unit via screw.
