Everyone probably has a few shows they watch, that are guilty pleasures they'd rather not admit they watch. But there are so many "bad" shows that are popular despite (or perhaps because?) everyone mocks them. Which shows do you judge other people for watching?
Oooh good question! I judge my wife for watching Revenge because it's a soap opera (not that there's anything wrong with that if it knows it) posing as a classy drama, and it's lowering the standards of prime-time melodrama and blurring distinctions about what makes good drama. Scandal for the same reasons. I've started judging people for watching Sherlock as it's a travesty of storytelling, writing and characterization, and it's running the name of Conan Doyle into the ground. Yet bizarrely it has a strong critical standing. So I judge people who buy into the hype.
Haha, I kind of agree with that one. I was never into it, but I've had friends who are. I wouldn't drop a friend over it, but it would be something that might affect my decision about other things (like dating someone).

I love Revenge. The cast is one of the most attractive casts on TV, at least to me. It does tend to get confused as what it wants to be (spoiler alert: introducing a mysterious super secret organization and then deciding the whole thing was just a front for the original villains anyway).
I like different adaptions of the Sherlock stories for different reasons, but NONE of them do exactly what I want to see. But one of the things I liked about that Sherlock was more about the graphics, the way certain things like texts would be displayed on screen (which more and more shows are copycatting).
Interesting points. I do suppose if people watch something just because of the hype / bandwagon effect, that is annoying. But I don't personally judge about those shows.
Soap operas and reality shows are definitely not my thing. Still, I try not to judge. It can be tough, when I see my wife crying about something that was sooooo fake and unoriginal on TV, but she bears with my own vices. So, she can watch anything mock-free!!!
Revenge and Under the Dome are clearly getting on my nerves. As much as I love Dean Norris, Under the Dome hits me on my nerves. So, here goes judging!!!
lies in deconstructing the core elements that most reality shows have in common. We have to look at the content and beyond that to consider how every part of a show affects our experience watching it.
I agree the opinion of this article: A guide for deciding what are the best and worst reality shows
