XBox Media Center vs Windows Media Center

I've been using my Xbox 360 as a media center/connection from my PC for quite some time now. Would there be any advantage of going to Windows Media Center? I mostly watch recorded shows and movies off my local drive and I'm thinking about moving to WMC with Boxee or Plex.

I can't say for sure but I think MS uses a lot of the same architecture between Media Center, 360 and even the old Zune product. I think that Media Center is at the heart of it all now. I am surprised we don't have some experts here to comment. It sure got a lot of hits on the read counter.
